A beautiful warm, calm morning awaited us. An excellent catch
looked on the cards until the temperature began to rise rapidly when the birds
largely disappeared. In fact over half of the birds trapped arrived
in a single round at 05:30. Juvenile finches (GOLDF, CHAFF an
BULLF) made their first appearances as did a single juvenile BLACA.
DUNNO seem to be doing well and a male was retrapped for the 7th
time after being first ringed as a 4M in May 2012. No BLUTI or
GRETI were trapped.

Ox-eye daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare) are making a magnificent display and Pyramidal Orchids (Anacamptis pyramidalis) were showing for the first time – see photos.
