Nets: 540'
Despite the threat of impending showers Emily and I set up at Wilstone. There was a westerly breeze which only affected the outside net (net 1). The other rides were unaffected but the number of birds handled was still disappointing at 63. We caught an adult reed warbler weighing 14 grammes with a fat score of 2 that shows that some movement may be happening already. As it happens Sunday remained dry all morning, so much for the Met. Office. The Buzzards were very vocal again around the Kite nest tree.
