A lower than average catch for
CES#7 (mean 50) but we’ll take that this year. Blackcaps are at last
coming along nicely now and a juvenile Willow Warbler was a bit of a surprise.
An interesting sighting was a Pygmy
Shrew scurrying its way through the leaf litter in the wooded area off of Ride
1. We weren’t prepared enough to photograph it but the id from its size was
conclusive.
