Breezy and warm
Nets up 6.00am to 11am
Ringers: JT, Emily and Sandra
A breezy day, perhaps too breezy. Net ride one was a little over
exposed and did not catch well. Only 63 birds handled including a kingfisher and
two goldfinches.
A pair of buff-tailed bumblebees caught in flagrante in net 6 but
released successfully as was a hornet and an unidentified bumble bee.
Oystercatchers very noisy calling all morning.
